See a Celtic farmstead at Craggaunowen, a carefully reconstructed lakeside village built next to a castle. An open-air museum with actors, this ring fort and early farmstead recreates life in the Bronze Age, while the castle dates back to around 1550. You'll see lots of traditional farming tools and techniques for making weapons. Check out the Brendan Boat, a representation of a vessel used by Saint Brendan of Clonfert to sail to Greenland in the 6th century. Put Craggaunowen into our Sixmilebridge tour itinerary builder site and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

This was an amazing experience went there as a child as part of a school tour and even then blew me away. staff were amazing.we were unable to book online but they were able to give us a better price when we went in. Have a lovely coffee shop attached with homemade products. It definitely is a place to go see.
