Maracas Beach, Port of Spain

Just outside Port of Spain, Maracas Beach attracts visitors with its scenic white-sand beach surrounded by mountains. The beach is renowned for its famous huts that sell "shark and bake," deep-fried shark meat baked in dough. Relax in the thick shade of palm trees, soak up some sun, and enjoy the views of the aquamarine waters contrasting the verdant hills. • The beach is one of the most popular sights in Trinidad. The waves are sometimes rough but the sun always hits the right spot and it is always a place to relax and reset. There are multiple food places close by and if you feel the need to check out uncle Sam's. Best bake and shark ever.
  • Amazing general touristy Beach. Great food and drinks. Needs an organization to manage the entire facility that understands what tourist services should look like.
