Bristol is famous for its Georgian and Victorian architecture, street art, underground music, maritime history, and the world-famous Clifton Suspension Bridge.
Visiting The Forest of Dean and Glastonbury Tor will get you outdoors. Explore hidden gems such as Hook Norton Brewery and St Mary Redcliffe Church. Get out of town with these interesting Bristol side-trips: Glastonbury Abbey (in Glastonbury), Cotswolds Distillery (in Stourton) and Wells (The Bishop's Palace and Gardens & Wells Cathedral). There's still lots to do: soar above the sights with a balloon tour, stroll the grounds of Arnos Vale Cemetery, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Tintern Abbey, and explore the historical opulence of Chepstow Castle.

Geneva brings the world to one small city with a huge expat population and the highest number of international organizations in any one city.
Get some cultural insight at Chaplin's World and Musee D'Art Et D'Histoire. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Mont Saleve and Plage de Port-Choiseul. Go for a jaunt from Geneva to Veytaux to see Chateau de Chillon about 1h 10 min away. And it doesn't end there: kick back and relax at Bains des Paquis, get great views at Cathedrale de St-Pierre, explore the ancient world of Archeological Site at St. Pierre's Cathedral, and make a trip to Place Bourg du Four.

La Spezia, at the head of the Gulf of La Spezia in the Liguria region of Northern Italy, is the capital city of the province of La Spezia.In terms of population, La Spezia is the second city in the Liguria region, preceded just by Genoa. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Abbazia di San Fruttuoso and Borgo Storico di Manarola. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Bagno Maurizio and Baia del Silenzio. Venture out of the city with trips to Pisa (Baptistery of St. John & Camposanto), Santa Margherita Ligure (in Santa Margherita Ligure) and Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi a Nervi (in Genoa). There's still lots to do: appreciate the extensive heritage of Centro Storico del Paese di Tellaro, brush up on your military savvy at Museo Tecnico Navale della Spezia, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cattedrale di Cristo Re, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Oratorio di Santa Maria in Selaa.

Traveling by car from Geneva to La Spezia takes 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and train; or take a train. Traveling from Geneva in September, things will get a bit warmer in La Spezia: highs are around 30°C and lows about 17°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 14th (Sat) so you can travel back home.
