Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Camusdarach Beach and Samalaman Beach. Discover out-of-the-way places like Ben Nevis and Highland Titles Nature Reserve. Go for a jaunt from Fort William to Morar to see Morar Beach about 1 hour away. The adventure continues: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Nevis Range Mountain Resort, hike along Glencoe Lochan, admire the verdant scenery at Glen Coe, and pause for some photo ops at Peace Memorial.

Manchester to Fort William is an approximately 6-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of flight and bus; or do a combination of flight, train, and bus. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Fri) so you can drive to Isle of Skye.

Aviemore is a town and tourist resort, situated within the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland. Get outdoors at RZSS Highland Wildlife Park and Cairngorm Reindeer Centre. Step off the beaten path and head to Cairngorm Mountain and Rothiemurchus. The adventure continues: look for all kinds of wild species at Loch Garten Nature Reserve, get outside with Aviemore Ospreys, explore the activities along Loch an Eilein, and get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour.

Durness
Durness is a village and civil parish in the north-west Highlands of Scotland. Visit Sandwood Bay Beach and Balnakeil Beach for some beach relaxation. Visiting Smoo Cave and Oldshoremore Beach will get you outdoors. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Durness: Scourie Bay (in Scourie) and Polin Beach (in Kinlochbervie). There's lots more to do: stroll through Durness Beach, take in the exciting artwork at Mudness Ceramics, and kick back and relax at Sango Bay.
