Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Porto Cathedral (Se Catedral) and Igreja de Sao Pedro dos Clerigos. Let the collections at Museu Serralves and Museu Nacional de Soares dos Reis capture your imagination. There's lots more to do: relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, stroll through Praia do Homem do Leme, kick back and relax at Praia da Luz, and snap pictures at Ponte de Dom Luis I.

Nazaré is a town and a municipality in subregion Oeste and Leiria District, in Portugal.It is one of the most popular seaside resorts in the Silver Coast/Costa de Prata, Portugal. Kick off your visit on the 4th (Thu): don't miss a visit to O Sitio, then take some stellar pictures from Miradouro do Suberco, then enjoy the sand and surf at Praia do Norte, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Praia da Nazare. On the next day, make a trip to Obidos Village and then step into the grandiose world of Castelo de Óbidos.
