Beantown

Rich in museums, restaurants, shops, and historical sites, Boston attracts over 16 million visitors each year. New England's largest and most influential city, Boston ranks among the world's major centers of education and culture.
Shop till you drop at Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Kittery Trading Post. Do some cultural sightseeing at Freedom Trail and Museum of Fine Arts. Venture out of the city with trips to Provincetown (Dolphin & Whale Watching & Race Point Beach), Ogunquit Beach (in Ogunquit) and Nubble Lighthouse (in York). There's lots more to do: take a stroll through Newbury Street, contemplate the long history of Franklin Pierce Homestead State Historic Site, and hunt for treasures at Quincy Market.

For reviews, maps, traveler tips, and more tourist information, use the Boston road trip website.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Logan International Airport, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, Theodore Francis Green State Airport and Portsmouth International at Pease Airport. Expect a daytime high around 20°C in October, and nighttime lows around 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Wed) to allow enough time to travel back home.
