Remscheid is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Do some cultural sightseeing at Kloster Kamp and Schloss Drachenburg. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Wildpark and Bergisches freilichtmuseum Lindlar. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Remscheid: Neanderthal Museum (in Mettmann), Siegen (Sieg Carre & Siegerlandmuseum) and Landschaftspark (in Duisburg). There's lots more to do: indulge your thirst for a good beer at Krombacher Brauerei, explore the historical opulence of Schloss Burg, see the interesting displays at Deutsches Rontgen-Museum, and look for gifts at Haribo Fabrikverkauf.

To see reviews, other places to visit, photos, and tourist information, you can read our Remscheid day trip tool .

Dusseldorf to Remscheid is an approximately 1-hour car ride. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Sat) early enough to drive to Wuppertal.

Though its origins date to the 12th century, Wuppertal has been at the forefront of technological development since the German Empire.
Escape the urban bustle at Mohnetalsperre and Wildpark Warstein. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Zentrum fuer Internationale Lichtkunst Unna and Haribo Fabrikverkauf. Get out of town with these interesting Wuppertal side-trips: Dortmund (Dortmunder U & German Football Museum) and Bergehalde Grosses Holz (in Bergkamen). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Neanderthal Museum and take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Laurentius Wuppertal.

To see where to stay, maps, traveler tips, and more tourist information, you can read our Wuppertal online trip itinerary maker .

Wuppertal is very close to Remscheid. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Tue) to allow enough time to take a train back home.
