Explore the scents, flavors, and colors of Emirati cuisine at Dubai Spice Souk, a traditional market. Wander the multitude of covered streets, taking in sights of sacks overflowing with spices, herbs, and fruits. Independent vendors will offer you a glass of tea and tell you all about their proudly displayed stock. If something strikes your fancy, remember that haggling is the norm here, so try your best to get a fair price. Take your camera with you to snap shots of the artfully arranged stalls and the traditional local produce. Dubai Spice Souk is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, Dubai Edition.

The only thing I liked about this place was the smell of herbs and spices. We were hassled by shopkeepers the minute we stepped out of our taxi and every shop seemed to sell the same products which wa... more »

In deira, dubai's old neighbourhood are the famous souks. Easy to find once you get past The Creek The Spice Souk, just follow the directions or the Millions of people. We meet first that of Spices and at the gold one. The spice market nn is very long will be Yes and no a hundred meters and cm every good Arab trader will try to sell you everything by bringing you cn thousand excuses. You taste really little as are the typical Arab markets, especially those of spices since it is really small and compared to the other two also hidden.View original

A good market with lots of markets and can buy anything! As per most markets the vendors all in your face trying to entice you in for a sale. Best way is say "no" with a hand gesture of 2/3 fingers in downward motion & keep walking! But a good experience. Only a few public toilets in the area that are very far apart so be warned. Have fun

I found the spice souk to be rather interesting. Such amazing collection of spices and their natural aroma. Good place to buy spices, nuts and dates. I was happy I had a guide as the maze of shops was bewildering and it helped to have someone who could guide me on reasonable prices. It was an excellent experience to see so many different spices, fruits, vegetables and teas, one could spend a whole day in this Souk. Great cultural experience.
