Parade Gardens Reviews
Sito vicino al ponte Pultney è un parco molto curato nei particolari ma quello che più mi ha colpita è stata una scultura in ferro rappresentante una sposa che era completamente rivestita di piante e ... more »Located near the Pultney Bridge is a very well-groomed park in detail but what struck me the most was an iron sculpture representing a bride who was completely covered with plants and flowers in an incredible way! Beautiful!
more »Looking north to the north of the adjacent Avon River, you can see a mysterious, striped view in the river. It is integrated with the Partney Bridge beyond the scenery, and the old scenery spreads out. The park is curved to the river, so you can see the river in front of you without having to lean out.
Parade Gardens is a lovely place to visit on a sunny day in Bath to feel like you're away from the city without ever leaving. There is a bandstand, grassy areas to sit, tended beds of flowers, benches, a view of the river and weir from the path at the far side, Georgian architecture and free deck chairs (if you're lucky enough to nab one). Entry is paid and costs around £2 per person but it's worth it in my opinion.
As a Bath resident with a discovery card having somewhere semi tranquil to eat my lunch - away from the madding crowds is priceless. I absolutely support tourists having to pay to get in and anyone complaining about paying to go into a park needs to re-examine their priorities... we all pay for parks through taxes this one we just pay directly and it keeps people that dont want to pay for the upkeep of such wonderful pllaces out.. which is where they should stay! Beautiful spot, lovely little cafe/hut now. Can find a deck chair to sit in most of the time. It really is a priceless place with nothing else comparable in the city.
