Cadbury World offers self-guided tours through the history of chocolate and the origins of one of the world’s largest confectionery manufacturers. Opened in 1990, this site is one of the city’s largest attractions, welcoming over half a million visitors each year. No ordinary factory tour, the location features 14 zones narrating the story of chocolate and the Cadbury business through static displays, animatronics, video presentations, multisensory demonstrations, and interactive exhibits. Don’t miss the popular "essence" zone, where you can create your own confectionery concoction in a tub of liquid chocolate. This indoor attraction allows a limited number of visitors each day, so be sure to pre-book your tickets online to guarantee entry. This tourist attraction is a must-go location for chocolate lovers! There are lots of informative historical displays, a 3D cinematic, a ride, freebie chocolates and an area to sample chocolate with toppings of your choice. There are lots of activities running for kids during holidays too. The gift shop is lovely and the cafe looks good (although I didn't get a chance to go there). A great family day out. Would recommend.

A fun day out whatever the weather, we had afternoon tea which great and very good value considering entry to the tour is also included. The kids play area is fantastic and the interactive elements like the 4D cinema are fun. They are also generous with the chocolate free chocolate! The only thing I would like is to see more of the factory and how things are made.
