Cadbury World offers self-guided tours through the history of chocolate and the origins of one of the world’s largest confectionery manufacturers. Opened in 1990, this site is one of the city’s largest attractions, welcoming over half a million visitors each year. No ordinary factory tour, the location features 14 zones narrating the story of chocolate and the Cadbury business through static displays, animatronics, video presentations, multisensory demonstrations, and interactive exhibits. Don’t miss the popular "essence" zone, where you can create your own confectionery concoction in a tub of liquid chocolate. This indoor attraction allows a limited number of visitors each day, so be sure to pre-book your tickets online to guarantee entry. Park closed as weather was awful which was understandable but inside is not for kids at all. Boring talks about how chocolate is made which make no attempt to engage children at all. Ridiculously... more »
Adult and child heaven if you into this sort of thing....big play area outside for the young children with 4d experience we went it was really good... disabled access to everything outside... food and drink stands outside as well.. toilets.. inside is a massive chocolate shop and cafe... the Chocolate shop is the biggest Cadbury one in the world... sometimes the Cadbury character are out and you can have your photos took with them... you can hire the cafe for private parties and events and have the characters visit you there... the tour around the Cadbury experience is good plenty for the children of all ages.... and plenty of different interactive experience for them...I liked the Cadbury mini car experience near the end..it's a little mini world it lovely experience...we spent nearly five hours there but you could spend all day if you wanted to.... well worth a visit... friendly staff and lovely experience...
Will easily keep little ones entertained for a couple of hours. Some stairs but lifts are available. Quite a bit of walking but lovely to see the old building. I went midweek in term time and it was not busy at all. Restaurant has some food items you do not expect to have chocolate in. Such as chocolate mash potato. Plenty of high chairs. Toilets spread around the tour. Some savings can be had in the shop, mainly in the bulk buy. All the staff that interacted with me were happy and outwardly positive. Cost is subjective. Grab a voucher if you can. I'm a tightwad, so it could always be cheaper :)
