Take a walk down this Bournemouth landmark and breathe in the sea air. Entertain yourself with video games and traditional coin pushers, and try to win a cuddly toy with the cranes at the arcade situated at the entrance to the pier. As you stroll down Bournemouth Pier, read the information about its history, look out for surfers battling the waves, and check out the traditional pier theater. Once you reach the end, you can relax at the cafe. There’s even more fun for young ones at the children’s amusements. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Bournemouth holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Bournemouth Pier and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

Probably one of the most visited Piers in the country and rightly so. Ok, so it’s a pound to visit but that gets you a yearly pass. Great to walk around on at any time of the year and whatever the weather. There’s an indoor wall climbing activity centre and a large cafeteria at the end. Also, a zip wire for the adrenaline junkies. At night it’s nicely lit by coloured lights along the decking. Now and then there is a child’s fairground for bank holidays. I’ve seen jellyfish and a dolphin here too. You can also see the surfers around on a windy day. There’s also some nice artwork on the wooded walls around the middle of the pier. Hence my giant ice cream photo...
It gets incredibly busy, but that's how beach life is, eh? Great place to go visit and pop in, but I'd suggest you find a beach spot a bit further down, as it's rammed. The closer to the pier, the less stones, but the more people, so you need to weigh up the options in all fairness. The pier is great for the arcade, food and a few other bits and bobs.
