It took more than 700 years to build Bristol Cathedral, considered one of the finest medieval churches in Europe. Still in operation today for worship, community service, and private prayer, the cathedral began as an Augustine abbey. Visitors can still trace the original transepts, but it’s the tall Gothic windows and pinnacled skyline that will capture your attention. To understand the full majesty of the structure, it’s best to take a step back as far as possible on College Green where it is located. Entering the cathedral, be sure to be on the lookout for surprising details, including carvings of beasts imitating people in the Elder Lady Chapel. Guided tours are available, and you can book portions of the cathedral for private candlelit dinners. You can plan Bristol trip in no time by asking Inspirock to help create your itinerary.

Bristol Cathedral Reviews
As cathedrals good a pretty good one. Nice shop. Easy level access. Parking not great nearby, so better to visit by bus or on foot. more »
As an non-religious person I still enjoy visiting the large cathedrals of this country to wonder at the architecture and the beauty of the stained glass. Bristol Cathedral is no exception, wonderful..... more »
Beautiful building. Very big. Nice stained glass. Impressively large organ. Great for all your praying needs. If you're a fan of that sort of shizz.
Nice cathedral with beautiful architecture. The stained glasses and tall arches provide a sense of opulence and grandeur. The only thing that probably lacks the classic touch are the chairs which look so out of place in the entire setting.
