  • What an amazing historic house free for all the public to view.... Only a few rooms on show, but truly impressive Elizabethan oak panelling- really ornate & ancient. Especially loved the Elizabethan four-poster bed with very faint traces of the original paint colours still visible. Classic Tudor knot garden - beautiful calm spot in the busy city
  • Fascinating small museum, house originally built in 2580s then extended in 1790s. Lots of original features, one room in particular, Elizabethan carved oak panelling and furniture. Stunning. Helpful informative staff too. Highly recommended
