Wonderful child-friendly museum easily walked to from the Cathedral area. We went there recently with 2 pre-school kids (ages 3 and 5) and spent well over 40 minutes in the special Lady Godiva exhibit. The adults were entertained with the excepts from the many Lady Godiva movies (Maureen O'Hara had one) while the kids put on medieval costumes, played with a racing game, put together some puzzles.

The Herbert Gallery is always worth a visit. It has several galleries that stay the same and one that changes a few times a year. In the last year I have seen the Wildlife photographer of the year, a display of child hood toys over the years and the current (September 2019) 'Wonder ' which I was initially unsure about until I saw the 3d art 'dolls house ' which was unusual but very interesting. There is a shop and cafe. It is free to enter but sometimes a charge for temporary exhibitions. It is in the same area as Coventry cathedral.
