  • Free. A small museum with a finger in most pies. A personal collection that reflects the interests of the collector, from the macabre human body bits to the beautiful gem collection. Lovely building.
  • The gallery of modern art is a museum that you have to visit every couple of months because it keeps changing. The last time I was there a couple of years ago I didn't find anything that I liked but this time around I found quite a few exciting things. Like art about the suffragettes and a fantastic video of an Artist that does chain reactions art with fire. It's also a beautiful building with some great architecture on the outside so have a look round the outside and look up you'll be amazed what you see. The staff is amiable and helpful. There is a fantastic gift shop that sells all sorts of artistic things and Gorgeous jewelry. I recommend just going into the gallery to look at the shop. Some disability things to mention they have a lift which gives you accesses to all the floors but because of its age it's a bit temperamental be patient with it. Also, the accessible toilet which is in the basement of the building it's not very big so getting larger wheelchairs in Might be a bit hard but the staff is more than willing to help. In the basement, there is a library and an adorable cafe that sells a vast range of lunch and snack things. The cafe also has a Macmillan corner where you can get help and advice with cancer.
