First time here tonight. One of Glasgow’s finest small venues for sure. Absolutely amazing! Staff were brilliant, friendly, attentive and relaxed. Even the door man was friendly and a genuinely... more »
Arriving in Glasgow late Friday afternoon, looking for some live music to enjoy. Happy to find a local establishment featuring Scottish Soul music that very night. And only blocks from our hotel... more »
Wow ! Where to begin ? Well let's start here then eh , Upon walking down sauchiehall street after a nice meal out with my girlfriend we embarked upon this lil hidden gem ! An absolute diamond in the ruff and a very pleasent surprise which came totally out of the blue while we where just on our way home to be perfectly fair . My GF noticed a big friendly bouncer (doorman) who she knew from a previous venue (Cafe Rio) in partick where she used to visit on a regular basis (still never stops raving about it to this day) So after the initial hi and goodbye from the bigman (DaveTheHat-bouncer) we entered down a lil quirky staircase to find a very warm and welcoming venue with one of the best live bands we have ever seen syncing a fusion of live jazz and contemporary soul styled sounds with an absolute peach of a female vocalist (astrosnax) band member ! Who majorly impressed and without a shadow of doubt should be famous in next to no time if she keeps up them kind of performances up that's for sure ! The prices are very reasonable to say the least and the pints and drinks flow readily from a well that never runs dry at least before the nights over anyways that's for sure We drank the amstell draft beer on tap and it was really smooth on the palate haha I wouldn't hesitate to pitstop again and couldn't recommend this place enough to the passer by from any walk of life especially if you're into music in the same level as myself or even an aspiring musician wanting to learn some new notes 🎶🎵🎶
Was not there for a jazz night but great, cool underground venue with fantastic sound and sound system.
