Eureka! The National Children's Museum Reviews
Entertaining and educational at the same time, Eureka is the perfect place to spend 2-3 hours on a weekend or a holiday with your kids. The annual pass is absolutely worth it and we look forward to... more »
Went here with my two grandchildren ( 8 & 5 yrs) on a horrible wet February day. We landed about 11am but the venue was extremely & I mean extremely busy (half term). So busy in fact that although... more »
Brilliant place. My children are 7 and 2 both of which they loved it. I would advise taking change for the car park even though you can pay on card. It was worth a visit especially when you can change your tickets into annual passes after a visit. A must visit with young children. Very busy during the school holidays so be aware of queues for parking.
Great place for kids to play and learn. Tons to do and look at. We went here on a Sunday during school holidays and spent a little over 4 hours there. I think you could get maybe 5 hours or more but my child didn't like the exhibit about the body and some of the sound related exhibits as he is a little sensitive to sounds. The exhibits are done really well and not cramped on top of each other (I assume so that school groups can fit) which allows the kids to meander about and enjoy each exhibit without being distracted by what's next. My child's favorites were the desert area where you can pretend mine by picking balls up and putting them in a shaft and then cranking them up and over a little bridge. I think it would be ideal for a 6/7 year old as there are a few exhibits that I feel would really excite them like the magnifying section and also the sound mixing studio bit. I would come here again in a few years for sure, you currently (October 2019) get free reentry in the same year for the price of the one admission so if you're local it could be a great place to come every couple of months. Overall, a great place for kids with tons to learn through play. Go today!
