The largest Anglican cathedral in Europe, Liverpool Cathedral is also the longest cathedral in the world, with a total external length of nearly 190 m (623 ft). Rising 101 m (331 ft) into the air, it is also one of the world’s tallest non-spired church buildings. The cathedral’s 13 bells add to the list of superlatives used when describing this massive building. At 67 m (220 ft) above floor level, the 13 bells are the highest and heaviest ringing peal in the world. Climb the cathedral’s tower, which offers sweeping views of the city and the surrounding area.     Brilliant to be able to visit the Cathedral again. This time the cathedral was hosting an arts fair. The fair was very good indeed a good variety of arts and crafts, Coffe shop open and the shop open....  more »

    I visited the grounds for walk over lockdown. The grounds are well maintained and very peaceful. I would recommend.  more »

    This a modern, cathedral different to the majority of cathedrals. From a design perspective I am some people will not like it but I thought it was great. The light and acoustics are fantastic and around the circumference of the cathedral there are series of small chapels and rooms which are often beautifully designed and contain interesting art and readings. I recommend it.

    Lovely Cathedral. Free entry just asking for donations. Nice little gift shop. There was a lovely craft fair when we went. You can pay to visit the roof which we did. It was about £5 each. A lift and some stairs and you get a great view of Liverpool. Well worth a visit when in the city.
