This review is on the distillers experience we took in March. This review is not a reflection on the people working for Bimber or the quality of the products they offer. We loved everyone we meet and we appreciate the high quality of the spirits Bimber offer. We took the distillers experience in March, it was semi informative, however for your money you can get so much more from other distillery experiences which offer more and are much more hands on. Essentially it was just a tour and tasting experience which lasted all day, with most questions being able to be answered, but the finer details of the distillery knowledge is with the founder, who wasn't around to ask. It would have been good to have the opportunity to get hands on and experience the day as a distiller at Bimber and understand how they do things. Unfortunately this was not included. Also little things such as lunch could have been provided for the money it cost for the day. If you were looking for better experiences for less money I would suggest: Ballindalloch Distillery - Art of whisky making - £175, full day including lunch Dartmoor Whisky Distillery - Spirit Run - £95, half day including lunch Both of which we have done and thoroughly enjoyed. They are more thought through and gives you a much better idea of what it is like to be a distiller at those particular distilleries. We do encourage you to experience Bimber, but you will be best either going with their Distillery experience & tasting or Founder tour if you want to get the same level as we got in a day.
Really great experience! Worth to do the tour and try their finest products.
