Cutty Sark, London

4.4
The last surviving tea clipper (cargo sailing ship designed for speed) built before the advent of steam-engine ships, Cutty Sark offers a colorful look at British maritime history. Walk aboard to learn the boat's story--and that of tea clippers in general--through interactive displays. Head down to the hold to see where the ship kept its cargo. If you get hungry, eat in the Even Keel Cafe. The soups, deli sandwiches, and chocolate fudge cake likely represent much finer fare than the ship's sailors enjoyed over a century ago. The lower hold is now a studio theater, so check the schedule if you want to see a performance in this unique venue. Buy admission tickets for the ship online before your visit, because tickets at the entrance sometimes sell out. • Great experience watching this beautiful vessel still standing proud. A planed visit is ideal if you want to have a relaxing day break and learn the history and facts about it. Visiting the museum is an unforgettable experience. It's very interesting also the way it has been restored and I would suggest you to spend some time to go through in deep at the boats history.
  • Greenwich has so much history, it's a great town to explore as well as the park, navel collage maritime museum and then there is the Cutty Sark steeped in history the fastest tea clipper to sail from Australia to the UK it was so fast it was still beating coal run boats in its day. Spending a few hours walking around this iconic ship will not leave you disappointed.. it's a must see
