Princess Diana once lived at Kensington Palace, a favorite residence for many of history’s best-known royal figures. The palace has its origins in a Jacobean mansion built in 1605. Redesigned in 1689 to suit the needs of the joint monarchs William and Mary, the building was turned into a monumental palace by the acclaimed architect Christopher Wren. Visit this historic site to take a look at recent decades of royal fashions, explore the grand staircases once climbed by kings, stroll through the manicured gardens, and stand under the 12,000 Swarovski crystals that make up an impressive light fixture at the center of the building. Tickets purchased online allow access to the palace, gardens, and permanent exhibits, including Fashion Rules and Victoria Revealed. Kensington Palace is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, London Edition.

  • The halls of Queen Victoria were closed, which the visit was quite depleted, fortunately the exhibition on the dresses of Diana (was a supplement to the price of the entrance) served to complement the visit. Good organization. I'm sorry I didn't agree with any of the explanations. Explanatory panels in each one of the halls. I may not be repetering but I advise your visit.

  • Part of the royal palaces group of six, this one is easily accessible by tube from Queensway. There is a queue to buy tickets which at £24 for adults is a lot. Then you go in as part of a group every ...  more »

  • As a grown man from America, I love to stand outside Kensington Palace and hope to get a glimpse of any member of the Royal Family. I know it will probably never happen since I only visit for like a few hours, but it's still cool to think about. 5 stars for giving people wholesome daydreams!
  • The exhibits open to the public are wonderful. Lots of history and the employees are full of knowledge- ask them questions because you will learn so much more. As it's connected to gardens and two parks, you can take a lovely stroll to burn off any scones you may have eaten.
