  • The monument to India's national hero was erected in Parliament Square recently, in 2015. The sculptor is a British Philip Jackson. At the opening of the monument, timed to the 100th anniversary of the return of the Indian patriot to his homeland. The opening was attended by then British Prime Minister James Cameron and grandson Gandhi. Interestingly, the monument is very realistic and stands next to W. Churchill, once an ardent opponent of Indian independence

  • Not impressed as Gandhi allowed the so called British Empire DESTROY INDIA and ROB India of its Wealth and Churchill allowed millions to starve to Death in India and his Empire MURDERED Millions of Indians in India and Gandhi did Nothing, he should have Listen to Nehru and Patel and Kicked out British long time ago by using Force! India would be the Richest Country in the World Now if Britain had not Destroyed India's Wealth during the Raj. Britain is Now a RACIST COUNTRY as they don't want Foreigners living in Britain now but they were in India for 2 Centuries Destroying it? If Britain had Not Invaded their so called Empire, no Foreigners would be living in RACIST Britain Now?
  • This is a statue in Parliament Square amongst well known British and Commonwealth political figures. It shows Mahatma Gandhi in his minimalist style of dress he adopted and often seen. He deserves his place here in such a prominent landmark location. A little ironic given his place here in Parliament Square, in the same as Winston Churchill and prominent individuals of the former British Empire.
