One of London's quietest and greenest corners, Queen Mary's Gardens contains the city's largest rose collection, boasting over 12,000 roses. Nearly 100 neat beds display dozens of varieties, from classic to modern. Part of a 166 hectare (410 acre) park in the northwestern section of London, the gardens also contain nearly 9,000 begonias. Named after the wife of King George V and completed in 1934, the gardens lure visitors with their rich scents and colorful blossoms. Early summer is considered the best time to see the gardens, when most of the plants are in full bloom. Toller Duft an allen Ecken. more »If you like roses, you will love the property. We regularly visit similar parks. The extensive rose discounts are hardly to be found elsewhere. Great fragrance at all corners.
Colourful, aromatic, and tasteful. The famous rose gardens is the idyllic scene for a romantic stroll or simply to escape the bustle of the city to think and reflect. From beautiful rocky falls to flowers every colour you can imagine. The well thought arrangements and design make this the perfect place to take perfect pictures. However, please be respectful to the hard work and beauty of this place by being careful where you tread, as it is clear some people have stepped on some of the flowers. Would absolutely recommend if you are in the general vicinity to at least pass through.
Another of London's beautiful parks and this one is up there with the best of them. Free entry with plants and animals in variety. Open air theatre and cafe. A great place for escapism one minute your in the chaos of the city next minute your a world away.
