  • My ride with them was the highlight of my visit to London. The horses are very well kept and safe. They also are the best trained “trail” horses I have ever been on. I am a seasoned rider and enjoyed their 3 quality gates and transitions!! You can tell these horses are well cared for a training rides are had on them often to keep them sharp! The only negative was I had so much fun I didn’t want it to be over at the end! We rode through the park which was lovely and learned about the Queen’s cavalry! My tour guide was amazing too. This is a MUST DO if you like horses and are in London. Horses were very beginner friendly, making it fun for any ages and riding levels. I will be back again!
  • This is a warning to anyone who decides to ride here. During my short stay in London I chose Ross Nye Stables to go on a trail ride in Hyde Park because I had read the good reviews. I'm sad to say I regretted the decision. The lady was nice but the ride was stressful and overall bad. I had a horse that was not made for hacking outside that even the guide described as "having quirks", whatever that means in horsey language. My horse was tied to the horse she was riding in front of me and during the whole duration of the ride my horse was pinning his ears, tried to bite and swing around and kick her horse. Combine this with the fact that she put a saddle on my horse that didn't even FIT, was slipping all the time even though the girth was tied to the max. At some point at the park we switched horses to see if that would help the situation. She couldn't even mount the horse due to the saddle slipping (the horse isn't that tall), and to our embarrassment, riders from the neighboring Hyde Park Stables came to help her mount while they were giggling. This woman claims the horse doesn't usually "misbehave" like that but I am used to the lies that horse people tell when they want to make a buck. This ride made me feel deceived, stressed and sad for the horse. I am not an experienced rider but I have been riding for 8 years and I also do horseback archery in canter with no hands on the reigns with absolutely no problem and I have never had an accident happen there, we even ride in open, wild terrain... Beware of this woman's lies and don't let her smile fool you. She stated that she has some kind of qualifying exam coming up for herself and that's why she chooses all kinds of horses, even those with "quirks" but I feel it's totally irresponsible of her to put a rider she doesn't know on one of these horses, especially when they go out of the stables and are in public places with cars and other people and smile and claim "oh it's all fine!". As it is equally irresponsible to put a rider on the horse with a saddle that is slipping the whole time. The whole thing was a joke and it wasn't a cheap joke either. 90 pounds is certainly not worth all this!
