Founded in 1857, Science Museum is one of the city’s major attractions, with nearly three million visitors each year. The museum holds an impressive collection of over 300,000 items, including the first jet engine, the oldest surviving steam locomotive, and the first prototype of the famous Clock of the Long Now, a mechanical clock designed to keep time for over 10,000 years. See hundreds of interactive exhibits, or visit the IMAX 3-D movie theater, which screens science and nature documentaries. Visit the Exploring Space gallery to see the story of human space exploration or time your trip for a "Science Night," a regular all-night special event allowing guests to spend the night inside the galleries, sleeping among the exhibits. • A place to know about history of science. Great for the the science fans. From cars to space craft it is a place to visit to know how the world has changed in the last century through the in invention of science. It takes at least two hours to quickly look into the facts but recommend to spent 4 hours if you feel you are in the space of technology and innovation. Great place for family and kids for their learning and knowledge. Had a Cafe inside and equipped with a souvenir shop.
  • An amazing museum providing one with an opportunity to explore the history behind the man’s greatest achievements and ideas that govern today’s technology. The space section is informative, fun and overall a great experience. The Pattern Pod is a good place for kids to interact in order to learn and maybe even get interested in science in the first place. It is indeed a very nerd-friendly environment :)
