My friends and I had been enjoying drinks and food here in the early evening. Just after 8pm, we noticed one of the bar staff removing the "Table reserved for 8" sign from one of the tables. Naturally, we assumed the table was now free. Apparently we shouldn't have. The party in question showed up 8.20 and wanted to know why we were occupying their table. The staff didn't know how to deal with this situation, so they got one of the security personnel to kick us off. The level of rudeness at this point was bad enough, but the guy crossed the line when he snatched my friend's bag. We were made to feel pretty unwelcome, and you know what? It worked. We won't be back.
Lively and bright, even on a gloomy day. Large windows, colorful walls, a diverse crowd and good music. Came for brunch, house hash was delicious. Quick service without feeling rushed. Just the type of place I'd expect to find in Shortidge.
