The Guards Chapel was rebuilt in the 1960s after the original chapel was destroyed by a bomb in World War II. On 31 August 2007, Diana, Princess of Wales' two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, organised a memorial service in the chapel, marking the 10th anniversary of their mother's death. The Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards and Scots Guards currently have a company based at the barracks.

Meeting a lot of people I have worked with. Great times. Thank you guys.
The starting point for our celebrations for the RAF 100... the exterior is very grand and for persons visiting it for the first time are captivated by its looks... It does look very tired and behind the exterior isn't very impressive at all... But it's a working military barracks after all and must be taken into account... There is a guard mount (royal duties) every single day, and takes some punishment.. I was honoured to march onto the "hallowed Square" ready to march off on the 10th July.. Not everyone can say that...
