First opened in 2003, our dream has been to create a Lavender and Herb Farm for people to walk round and enjoy. We have built our own distillery so our lavender from the fields can be distilled here at Wolds Way Lavender to extract the 100% Pure Lavender Essential Oil.Use our Malton itinerary planning tool to add Wolds Way Lavender and other attractions to your Malton vacation plans.
We welcome visitors to enjoy the gardens, learn about lavenders, visit our Gift and Plant shop, and have a meal in our Tea Room. Excellent access for disabled visitors.
A leisurely stroll around the site reveals the amazing differences between one variety of lavender and another. Plenty of seating is available, enabling the sights and fragrant smells to be absorbed at a relaxing pace. The well-planned layout of the plants adds to the overall experience of the visit.
Set within half a mile from the Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail, we are surrounded by mature woodland, on the edge of the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds. Our newly Lavender and Herb Farm is a wonderful and relaxing place to visit. Our family run the 12-acre site is currently planted with over 6.5 acres of lavender ranging from rich hues of purple to purest white. Essentials oils, creams and toiletries are available, extracted on site from the Deer Park Distillery, Yorkshire’s only Lavender Distillery! Come and visit……….

Absolutely wonderful gem of a place. I have two children aged 1 and 7 and had a wonderful day full of fun and games. Loads to do such as the train ride, the Maze, the den building, the nature trails, the playground, mud kitchen and sandpit, along with foot golf and the giant games and more. Plus the gorgeous lavender and all the nature it brings. The cafe was lovely too, good quality food but it's also nice to bring a picnic as great areas to eat outside. Overall, a lovely day out in the fresh air. A must go.
Would highly recommend for people with young kids. We spent 4 hours playing all the games in the maze, building a den, playing in the mud kitchen, playing football golf and riding the little train. My 4 year old really enjoyed his afternoon out as did I. We will be back next summer!
