  • Great place to visit a jewel in the Crown of Norwich, so much to see and do.... a good place to spend a quiet moment looking back through the ages and such an impressive building.  more »
  • Very disappointed, thought we would be able to go in the actual castle turns out we could only go in the museum of art and natural history (which We have no interest in). We spent an hour in there...  more »
  • Amazing castle. The tour is recommended and the information is highly informative. By 2021 they will have fully restored all the missing rooms but still worth while going now as the museum is also full to the rafters with exhibits. You'll need several hours to get round and their is plenty for the kids to do. The cafe is superb and the shopping Mall afterwards is a very nice option. Highly recommended.
  • The Castle Mall car park is right next door to the Castle so parking is no problem. There are a few disabled parking spaces right outside the Castle but I'm not sure how you get to them. There is also a lift to avoid the steps in approaching the castle. Admission in August 2019 was £9.90 for adults and £8.50 for children aged 4-18 although family rates are available. The interior of the keep is spectacular but is about to change as floors are being added to take it back to how it was. When we were there in August 2019 there was an excellent exhibition on the Vikings but the exhibition on Boadicea and the Romans was also incredibly interesting. There are some excellent dioramas of Norfolk places and there were lots of hands on exhibits and activities for children. The cafe does very good coffee and cakes/sausage rolls etc.
