The Rheged Centre, Penrith

3.1
#1 of 8 in Shopping in Penrith
Shopping Mall · Shopping
There’s nowhere quite like Rheged, where the arts meet good food, family and fun under a green grass roof. It’s where we share every aspect of what we love about our place, with brilliant food, art in our gallery, cinema and shopping from both here and further afield. Grown-ups love our live streamed opera and ballet, spa and shops, but families are among our most important visitors. Play is part of the fabric of Rheged, from the outdoor play area to a cinema made for 3D movies.

Entry to the centre is free. Events can be booked online at www.rheged.com.

Open every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. On site Petrol Station (24hrs) and Electric Car Charging Point (8am - 5.30pm)

  • Amazing place for a family day out. Went for a Lego exhibit and stayed for the whole day. The painting activities were excellent and was very well priced. The day concluded with a movie. I wished I loved closer so I could take advantage of their adult nights.
  • For the price of cinema tickets alone this place gets three stars. If not For the price of food and drink this place would of had 4 stars. Most staff are happy with smiles although some look like they would rather be anywhere but here, but that could just be the way of the world today who knows. The top floor events for kids is a bit cheeky, making adults pay to take kids around. Kids should be full price and adults a pound, let's be honest the items are for the kids not parents. It's a good place but could be much better.
