Once rated the most lavish Jacobean household in the land, almost next to a palace. No expense spared here! It's early ancestors nearly lost their heads over their lavish lifestyle and expenditure. Well worth a visit. So how🤔 do you heat such a vast house. Go to the top rooms to find out. Do take your children to the Victorian kitchens quite an education. With such luxurious furnishings what would the children's quarters have looked like? If this is not for you visit the gardens and vast grounds. See if you can find the posh stables the horses were kept in. Well worth a visit but give yourself plenty of time

Such a beautiful house and gardens. Very well kept by all the hard work of the staff. We all really enjoyed the show on the lawn about the different jobs children used to do. Very interesting and fun. The actors didn't let the heat affected them bless them. Thank you to you both and to Jeremy the rat xx
