Hall's Croft reviews
interesting place, packed with history, found the staff friendly and helpful, didn't see the garden as it was raining.Got as part of the full story visit, well worth the price. more »
The house has a nice museum, with lovely authentic furnishings and interesting stories. The garden was very pretty and must look most impressive during the summer. more »
Brilliant! Fantastic place full of history I recommend getting the full package ticket and doing all 5 places although we only managed 3 in a day! Absolutely stunning gardens friendly staff and amazing artifacts to see. Lots for children to learn, our two teenage boys really enjoyed the experience. Lots of local car parks charging around £2 an hour. All Saints church within walking distance to see Shakespeares Grave but be prepared to pay £4 an adult and £1 a child. Situated close to the town, Shakespeare birthplace and New place it is a lovely day out!
Not my favourite out of the houses but well worth a visit. The garden isn't as extensive as the some of the others but if you have an inclusive ticket, it's worth the trip. Very close to the church where Shakespeare is buried and there is a lovely walk back along the river. Look at some the the lovely old houses on the walk out. It is only 10 minutes walk from New place so is a good round trip. The cafe is excellent and all freshly made
