Wingham Wildlife Park, Wingham

4.3
#1 of 6 in Zoos & Aquariums in Kent
First opened in 1986 as a bird park, Wingham Wildlife Park expanded into a wildlife park containing over 200 species, including a number of endangered species. Spanning an area of 10.5 hectares (26 acres), the zoo divides into several key areas. The tropical house features tropical plants, fish ponds, and free-roaming tropical birds. The reptile house contains 46 species of reptiles, including dwarf crocodiles and rhinoceros iguanas. The mandrill island houses a troop of colorful mandrills. Refer to the timetable to find talks and feeding exhibitions, and be sure to try to include the red panda talk and tiger feeding in your schedule. The soft indoor play area acts as a change of scenery for kids when they need a break from the animals. • Love this place. Purchased a yearly pass. The weather turned nice so we popped for a visit. Even on a yearly pass we still feel we help out a little as we always purchase lunch, drinks and treats when there. They take such good care of the animals. The new dinosaur attraction is awesome too,, its literally like walking through a lost world. Great work guys
  • Good zoo and always seems to be growing with something new each time we visit. Relatively small when compared to other zoo's nearby but a good selection of animals (including lions, tigers, chimps etc). Considerably cheaper than the nearby alternatives...
