  • Always a hit with the kids, and amazing to see Elephant and Rhino so close!! The Elephant experience was great, and getting to touch one of these huge pachyderms was a privilege. Great support for conservation efforts too! Then loads of other great animal encounters, from giraffe to red pandas, lemurs and wallabies to seals and penguins!! Would be great during half term if all restaurants could open, but staff in the canteen like restaurant were pleasant and very helpful when approached. We will be back!!
  • Great day out. The road safari is excellent, really worth a visit. I am not a fan of any type of zoo's in general as I hate the idea of animals caged up. This was a good experience, and I get these animals have been in captivity for too long and would not survive in the wild now. The animals look well cared for, they look generally happy and healthy, was very surprised. This is definitely the way forward for keeping animals, they deserve the freedom this place gives them. Excellent day out with the family, all aspects of the zoo we're good, the walking route needs to improve, however it does look like it is currently undergoing changes. I loved the pen were the goats and sheep are, there was a lamb that was extremely cute, my twins absolutely loved the lamb. Petting farms/Zoo's are extremely important especially for children. The walk through zoo aspect should be more interactive, and engaging, and needs to be better route planned and sign posted, we walked in circles, and didn't get to see everything. Having a picnic here is lovely, would definitely go back! Highly recommend.
