Support local growers at Hilo Farmers Market, which is open daily. The market's 200 vendors sell everything from produce to handicrafts, but the market is also a hub of culture with live music and artists selling their wares. On certain days, locals are invited to rent a booth at a discount and sell their used books, second-hand clothing, and antiques. The market is its own community, and it provides a good way for visitors to get to know the locals. Visit the attraction's website for a list of featured vendors and to obtain online coupons for discounted goods. • This is not a big commercial farmer's market. This is a small market that is run by farmers, and local crafters. When travelling, it's places like these that make a destination unique. Shop small.....  more »

  • This is great place to shop for fruits and vegetables. The prices are so worth your while to walk around and check them out! Even if you don't think about it, the flowers are so fresh and beautiful, you may be tempted to brighten your place with them. You just have to be lucky to find a parking space.
  • We were told that this was THE farmers market to visit on the big Island. A good selection of everything from fruits and veg through to arts and crafts. If you find yourself in Hilo and have a couple of hours to spare then it's worth stopping by.
