Rio Pinar Country Club, Orlando

#21 of 29 in Golf in Orlando
Rio Pinar has long been a favorite tournament venue hosting many PGA, LPGA and FSGA events over the years. The PGA Tour’s Citrus Open was won by many of golf’s greatest champions the likes of Lee Trevino, hale Irwin, Julius Boros and the King Arnold Palmer.

Rio Pinar Golf Club remains a wonderful place to enjoy historic golf and the traditions of the game. The golf course has withstood the test of time and is still a joy to play for low and high handicappers alike. Play the course and you’ll walk in the footsteps of many of golf’s greatest champions.

  • As soon as we arrived the helpful staff greeted us and picked up a cart and loaded our clubs while we checked in. Everyone we met that worked there was super friendly and helpful. The course layout was nice fairly easy yet challenging approaches. The fairways and greens are in great shape very well maintained, except for only one green that was being rehabilitated this month. The squirrels are interesting, big guys. We had a wonderful time today.
  • Great course and exceptional layout. I believe in being able to play a course that once hosted some of the pass greats in a game I love. If you feel that way, or just want to play a course that has some fox squirrels who will steal your trail mix, this is that course. The course is tight, with quite a few trees lining every hole so spraying your ball is not an option. The greens are semi slow and in decent shape, same with the t boxes and fairways. Everyone is helpful and pleasant. I do fully endorse playing this course at least once.
