#3 of 18 in Museums in Orlando
SKELETONS: Museum of Osteology is located in Orlando, Florida, right next to the Coca Cola Orlando Eye in the I-Drive 360 complex. The museum features 500 REAL skeletons creatively posed in over 40 exhibits. The Museum is the latest and largest from the Villemarette family. All of the specimens are from current/modern day animals. The skeletons are arranged in different environments and poised to educate their natural movements and interactions within each habitat. The museum is handicap accessible and suitable for all ages. Included with the admission price, guests also receive a scavenger hunt to complete while touring the exhibits.

The original SKELETONS: Museum of Osteology is located in Oklahoma City, OK. The entire Villemarette family hope that the Museum serves as an educational experience for all to enjoy. Visitors will gain a greater appreciation for life’s internal structure that, hopefully, will lead to more animal sensitivity and conservation in the future.

  • A museum with a particular collection of more than 500 skeletons of animals of all kinds, formed of real bones and assembled in a way corresponding to the body of each. All the animals died of natural causes and were donated to the collector to exhibit at the museum. In fact, not just animals like humans either. It is an interesting and different tour, which is worth visiting.

  • This is an excellent museum and for a small place, they manage to pack a lot of skeletons in there. We have 2 children, ages 13 and 9 and everyone had a great time. It's about an hour+ to see everythi...  more »

  • Hidden gem! I did not even know this was here when I visited Icon Park. It caught my eye almost immediately, and I had check it out! Such a cool museum, full of information and real skeletons! Staff were friendly and genuinely excited about the exhibit! Highly recommend!
  • This museum was very well done. We could have spent even more hours in there than we did. And we got to sit in on a "forensic class". Apparently the museum has different morning and evening classes offered on Saturdays during the summer. You have to register for them, but they let us sit in on the lecture part, we didn't ask whether we could participate the activity part. They offered us go and come all day as well, because they are located in the ICON Park and shopping area. Just park in the parking lot of the big wheel ride, and walk through or around the building to find the museum (we had a bit of a challenge finding it).
