Dole Plantation explores the story of one of Hawaii’s most important exports: the pineapple. You can begin your visit with a ride on the pineapple express. A narrated 20-minute train ride tells you the story of the pineapple in Hawaii and how the plantation was founded. For even more information, take the garden tour to learn how pineapples grow and see more of the islands’ other important produce, such as cacao and coffee. The on-site maze, crafted from colorful Hawaiian plants, stretches over 1.2 hectares (3 acres) and was deemed the world’s largest maze in 2008. Don’t leave without sampling the famous DoleWhip. Visited the Dole Plantation 10 years ago and enjoyed it. Took the whole family (Aunts, Uncles, cousins, youngest being 6 months to 13 years old for the kids) here this week and vowed to never come... more »

Loved our visit here. We went here in April. Beautiful weather and great atmosphere. We took the fun Pineapple Train Ride. It’s a must do. They play a record giving all the detailed information about their Pineapple fields as well as avocados, coffee, bananas, coconuts and many other farms. Dole Plantation has a huge land area. Pineapple plantation maze is also beautiful. Interesting to see Red Pineapples. We had never seen Red ones. Also we ate the uniquely amazing Pineapple ice cream with Pineapple shavings on top. Superb tasty !! Everyone should try that. Gift shop is cool too, they have cutest Pineapple soft toys and many other souvenirs. Loved the whole day we spent there. Thanks !!

Nice stop on our way to the North Shore. Great little plantation, can get VERY busy. There is a maze and train as the main activities, but also a gift shop that sells souvenirs and pineapple products. There is a restaurant on site - you must try the fresh pineapple, to die for... and the pineapple soft-serve ice cream... YUMMY!
