Playdale Farm Park, Scarborough

We had an absolutely brilliant time. Lots to do and see and well worth the money. The goats were a particular favourite. We bought a children's and an adults lunch bag from the cafe to eat in the sunshine and there was such a good choice of yummy food. My millionaires shortcake was especially yummy. The only downside was the multiple smoking areas. It seems crazy to have areas for smoking at a children's petting farm. One was situated right outside the animal barn exit so was unavoidable. A huge family set on the benches, puffing away with their kids sat with them. It absolutely stunk and was really disappointing to see at such a brilliant attraction. Why can't it just be a no smoking site and send smokers out to the car park if they are that desperate.

Always a good day out for the younger kids. However been several times and it remains largely the same format each year. Could do with a new layout in the straw barn. Couple of smaller go karts for younger kids. Donkey rides possibly. Just a few more activities during the day would take it to next level and ensure more repeat business. Regardless it's a good one for a kids day out.
