  • This is a real gem situated in the heart of the Essex countryside where the array the array of colour in each of the gardens is breathtaking and the best around. The tulips are the best of all the flowers on show with the right amount of smooth contrast and textures of colour. The diversity of gardens is excellent with an Australian and New Zealand Garden, Dry Garden and Winter Garden to a Sky Meadow and Vegetable Garden again with a dazzling amount of colour on show. The site is massive and if you take a nice gentle walk around you can see everything in 3 to 4 hours. Overall this is an excellent property and one where a visitors breath will be taken away. We'll Done RHS.
  • Fantastic flagship Royal Horticultural Society garden. Recent work has created a new restaurant and visitor centre at the top of the hill. Gift shop and Clover Café at the entrance can be accessed without going into the gardens therefore no cost. Plenty of areas can be accessed on wheels but there are also beautiful routes through meadows, around the lake and wooded areas as well as more formal themed gardens including the groundbreaking dry garden with its water conserving rill. Fantastic children’s adventure play area but there are also a host of child friendly and appealing features dotted throughout the gardens. Throughout the year the gardens also create various themed trails to engage children.
