Create an itinerary including Tropical Wings Zoo
Converted from a greenhouse to a butterfly house in 1999, Tropical Wings Zoo is also home to reptiles, meerkats and wallabies. Enjoy the sensation of butterflies landing on you and seize the opportunity to photograph one. Feed the fish and laugh at the antics of the parrots. You will not require a whole day to explore, so stop in at the cafe, shop, and let the children enjoy the play areas, with Mr. Macawber’s Fun House and Monkey Run for older children and the Meer Kat Lookout for toddlers. Walking outdoors can be tricky when muddy. Get there by bus, train, car, or bike. Parking is free. • Are we sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin... we had a great day out. Its 3/4s of the way completed and we all had a great day regardless. Not many butterflies as of yet but loads of cocoons, so lots will be flying around soon. They're building an alligator pool, so that looks good. Lots of wallabies that have had babies, a rhea (first name dia) and an alpaca llama thing. Had a great day. Thanks guys
  • It was nice to go back and see the new changes. Would recommend you take your own refreshments as the queues were very long and only one kiosk. Gift shop could be larger to be honest as it's only a shed really.
