Love Colchester castle Park, the castle is amazing, the hard work of the gardeners really comes through with the great displays they put out all year round. The park is just beautiful I'm general. Have also smoked a few joints at night time near the small waterfall/dam area and the sound is just so good and it's so peaceful to listen to. I bring many visitors there to show them how great Colchester is! I also feed the squirrels and the swans they're real friendly.

My two youngest grandsons and I spent about an hour and a half in Castle Park and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. They had a good runaround in the large children's play area which was quite busy. There is lots of apparatus etc there and they had a wonderful time. It caters for children of all ages and is very popular. The gardens are starting to come alive too. I noticed new shoots on the roses and there were loads of flowering bulbs etc. We then walked right down to the bottom of the park and my grandsons had a go on the exercise machines which are excellent. A really great area which again is very well equipped. There are lots of signs informing you how to get to certain areas which are very handy. We took a path to the Hythe alongside the river which was a beautiful walk. Lots of swans and ducks. I hadn't walked along there before and I will definitely do it again. I imagine it will be spectacular when the weather warms up and the trees are all in leaf. Altogether we had a fantastic day and we all agreed we would repeat it again soon.
