Create an itinerary including Holkham Hall
Located adjacent to the quaint village of Holkham, Holkham Hall remains as a fine example of an 18th-century, Palladian-styled country house. Each room contains a number of treasures to discover, in fact, the privately-owned collection of books, paintings, and furniture is still a source for academic research. Visit the Bygones museum to view an extensive collection of antique toys and agricultural memorabilia complementing the grandeur of the house, and learn about rural life in the past. Stroll the meticulously maintained walled-gardens and take a rest in the Stables Cafe. The house is still privately owned, so plan ahead for your visit as the museum closes over winter. • Amazing day. All staff we encountered couldn't have been more helpful. Curator of Stories at 12 o'clock tour, talked for about Holkham history without notes, hesitation or repartition. Exhibition very well laid out and notated. House tour also well presented by someone who was well versed in his subject. Thank you for a great day out.
  • A nice day out, we paid £5. To park up for the day. The family were at their stately home so no visitors were allowed in. It didn't spoil the day though. Just the grounds alone with the deer wandering around was beautiful to see. There is a beautiful church withing the grounds too. The kids loved it, we took a picnic as it wasn't a planned visit but there are are food trucks and a cafe etc. Well worth the five pounds parking for the 7 of us to enjoy the day.
