  • Had lunch in Seventh Wave with my mum and sister, and it was delicious. We sat outside on the terrace and it was lovely and warm and blue skies. The staff were really friendly. I could drive my car to the Cafe to drop my elderly mum off with my sister, then drove the car back to the car park. It e a lovely time. Car park is £5 for the whole day or less for less hours. Highly recommend. The country park and walks were out of bounds for us with mum's age and wheel chair.... Perhaps a return visit
  • Superb country park in an outstanding part of the Jurassic Coast. Due to the natural topography several footpaths are unavoidably steep however alternative paths are available for exploring other areas of the park and likewise Tramper disabled vehicles. Incredible diversity of plants, birds and insects to be found. In comparison to the interpretation available for birds and insects there is relatively little available for plants. Somewhat surprising considering the park's status as a National Nature Reserve. Notable emphasis on the arts with regular exhibitions and performances. More emphasis on the biodiversity value to be found on site would be useful. Considering this is the departure/arrival point for many migrating species it seems odd that the park hasn't used its biodiversity value to bring its historical links to the wider world up to date. Without wanting to be too critical although superb it could be further improved and made more relevant to the 21st Century.
