  • An interesting place, really worth visit. You can enjoy exploring the castle and nearby park with colorful flowers, birds and picturesque river. I have fond memories of this place and will certainly go back there.
  • Visited today for the first time and will definitely be going back again. Our 8 year old son absolutely loved every minute, and we did too. Very friendly and welcoming staff, fascinating history and so much to see and do. The bonus for our son was the numerous interactive displays and he got involved in dressing up and did some brass rubbing. The story telling was wonderful too which he really enjoyed. The views from the top of the tower are stunning, the climb up the steps is definitely worth it. Fully recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed. Easy to park nearby (we used the Jolly Sailor car park) and lovely walk through the castle grounds near the river with a brilliant play area for the kids. Lovely day out
